This Privacy Policy sets forth the Center for Correctional Nursing Workforce’s policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of Your information when You use the Web Site and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You. We use Your Personal data to provide and improve the Web Site. By using the Web Site, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

A. Types of Data Collected
1. Personal Data

A. Business Transactions
1. C4CN is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

1. Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

XIII. Fair Information Practices
A. The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information. We agree to the individual redress principle, which requires that individuals have a right to pursue legally enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or a government agency to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors. In furtherance of these principles, in the event of a data breach, we will notify users via email within seven business days.
XIV. CAN-SPAM Act
A. The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations. We collect your email address in order to (i) send information; (ii) respond to inquiries, requests, or questions; and (iii) market to our mailing list or continue to send emails to our clients after the original transaction has occurred.
